I'm curious as to whether anyone might be interested to participating in a contest I want to hold.

I would love to hold a contest where people would have to draw my neopet Catherea (pictures of her in my gallery), and the theme would be Indian culture.

The winner will get a free commission from me, because sadly I can't offer a subscription (I myself don't even have one. I'm cheap XD)

I would also love to put all the entries on her new page under fan art, if the artist doesn't mind of course.

So, please let me know if anyone would be interested in participating!

I've been back for a while now, but I just haven't posted a journal on this account - I haven't done much Neo artwork over the summer so I don't have much to upload on here just yet. But I will soon, actually, since I'm redoing petpages and stuff like crazy right now.

I would really suggest you go over to my other account for a sec and check out the artwork I've got over there if you haven't already. It's all my realistic/non-neo/non-petsite artwork, so it's got some drawings of statues and a couple dragons. And I'm going to be uploading more soon, just because I'm trying to practice more realisitc people and animals.

Oh, and I'm going to draw a picture for whoever catches my 1000th pageview on that account, so if you go and check it out make sure you see what pageview you are, and take a screenshot of it if you can. And I'll draw your character, or whatever you want drawn for the occasion.

Artwork......

I haven't been drawing very much artwork for me, mostly things for other people and drawings for classes. But I am getting sketches done of realisitc things that I drew at museums and places, which I am very proud of. They, of course, will be uploaded.

As for artwork of Neopets, or characters, that's slow going. But I've come to the realization that Catherea is my favorite neopet. She's the first and only neopet I think about when I think about petpage making and when it comes to drawing. Close behind are Ezilya and Zelgai, and Chenoa. And while all of my neopets are near and dear to my heart, because of all the time I've spent on them, those four are probably the only ones I would reincarnate where I to lose my accounts and have to start all over.

So speaking of dear old Cath, I have decided to redo (once again) her entire petpage. I had about 70% finished, including images, text, and layout, but now it's back down to like 40%. I'm going to redo her petpage layout image, as well as all the images within the petpage, and I'm redoing the whole layout. I need a format that lets me display Cath on the side somewhere, but I also need one that is wide/tall enough for me to put all the text and other images of her together, and not have it all cramped. And I'm tired of white background. So I'm redoing all that, but her look will stay the same because I am absolutely in love with it.

I'm also going to make for her page a few images of her wardrobes, because during roleplays she wears three or four main outfits which I want people to see. Of course her red sari, but she doesn't always go around life in that. So there. And I dunno... I'm kinda rambling on here, I don't know what else to say anymore.

Her guild will be up and running hopefuly sometime in September/late August the earliest. I have created a "literate" roleplay guild on Neopets for pets who are thieves/pirates/pickpockets and need a group to be in. It's like 40 thives meets Ocean's Eleven type thing - where a close nit group of us organize missions to steal things and decide what to do with our booty. It's going to be very realistic

Anyway.............. yup that's about it.
